What is Laser Hair Reduction, and how does it work?
Laser hair reduction is a procedure that uses pulsed laser light (highly concentrated light) to damage and destroy hair follicles. The laser’s specific light wavelength is attracted to melanin or pigment in the hair. The hair absorbs this light, which is then converted from light to heat, damaging the hair root and preventing future regrowth. Hair is always at different growth phases. At any one time, the hair is either in the rest phase (telogen) or the growth phase (anagen).
