Book An AppointmentDr. Erika Hagstrom is a double-board-certified dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon. She grew up in rural Minnesota and attended the University of Notre Dame. She attended medical school and earned an M.D. and an M.A. in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola University of Chicago. After medical school, she worked on clinical research as a fellow at Northwestern University before moving to Portland, Oregon where she completed her dermatology residency at Oregon Health and Science University. Following residency, she spent a year in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts completing an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and additional advanced training in laser and cosmetic treatments.
Dr. Hagstrom is a reviewer for the “Dermatologic Surgery” medical journal and has special interests in skin cancer surgery, reconstruction, laser surgery, skin rejuvenation, and scar revision. She is an Associate Member of the American College of Mohs Surgery and an active member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Hagstrom is passionate about combining her appreciation for art, science, and whole-body well-being with providing compassionate and professional patient care.
Dr. Hagstrom enjoys spending her free time golfing, fly-fishing, drawing/painting, and rooting for the Notre Dame Fightin’ Irish. She played on the club women’s ice hockey team at Notre Dame and sang in the choir. A lifelong learner, she enjoys reading several books per month and appreciates her patient’s recommended reads. One of her most memorable experiences was living in and working for an aboriginal clinic in Uluru, Australia.
