Melinda Riter, M.D., Ph.D., Board-Certified Dermatologist

Dr. Riter is a Board-Certified Dermatologist specializing in caring for rural populations and improving the delivery of health care. She grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado and completed medical school and a research doctorate in biomedical engineering at the University of Colorado. As a researcher studying wound healing she fell in love with the dynamic field of Dermatology.After completing her internship at Stanford University, she trained as a Dermatologist at Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU). She stayed at OHSU as an Assistant Professor to create telehealth and community outreach programs, and caring for patients in the Columbia River Gorge. She is passionate about preventing burnout in healthcare workers and creating networks of doctors to care for rural communities.Dr. Riter enjoys talking about camping gear, RVs, ebikes, trucks, good books, and pets. She loves gadgets and is usually an early adopter of new technology. She aims to stay on the cutting edge of diagnostics and treatments in Dermatology.
